At O’Brien & Eggleston PLLC, our primary focus is achieving our client’s goals in their case. We focus on criminal defense work exclusively so that we can ensure we providing superior representation to our clients during what is often the most challenging circumstances of their lives. We understand that being exceptional in the courtroom is only a single aspect of truly representing our clients and have committed ourselves to thoroughly investigating and evaluating the evidence in each case, providing a honest assessment of the facts and the law in each individual case allow our clients to make informed decisions in attacking the charges against them. Kevin and Adam having been representing clients together as a team for nearly a decade. We understand that the stress can be immense for our clients, so we focus on easing some of those stresses through exceptional advocacy, honest communication with our clients, and working tirelessly to achieve our clients’ individual goals.

Kevin and Adam have known each other for more than 15 years and have worked together as a team for the majority of their careers.

Kevin grew up in Walton, New York in Delaware County. After graduation high school he attended college and graduated from Binghamton University in 2002. From there, Kevin immediately went to Albany Law School for three years, graduating in May of 2005.

After graduating from Albany Law and passing the bar exam, Kevin focused his career nearly exclusively working in criminal defense and then as a prosecutor for several years. After leaving the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted primarily guns, drugs, and gang related crimes, Kevin went back to helping clients with criminal defense. He was been working exclusively as a criminal defense attorney since 2010.

Adam grew up on Binghamton, New York. Following high school, he went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he majored in Philosophy. Adam returned to upstate New York to attend Albany Law School and graduated in 2012. Following the July 2012 NYS Bar Exam, Adam began as a law clerk at a law firm with Kevin. Once he was admitted in February 2013, Adam began to formally represent clients facing criminal charges alongside Kevin.

Both Kevin and Adam have achieved success individually while zealously advocating for clients – though meticulous review of the evidence in a case, thorough motion practice as well as though trial results. However, they’ve found that working in tandem is when they have most consistently achieved our clients’ goals.

Kevin and Adam met while Adam was in law school and quickly became great friends. They knew almost immediately that they both had a passion for criminal defense and that working together they would be able to help clients using each of their unique skill sets. Adam joined a firm that Kevin was working for upon graduation from Albany Law School and they have continued to work tougher on criminal defense ever since. Their professional relationship has now spanned two different law firms before deciding to join forces with their own firm. While both Kevin and Adam have focused their career on criminal defense they understand that this most important area of the law is ever evolving that they have dedicated themselves to evolving and becoming better lawyers each day in order to accomplish the goals of their clients.

Kevin and Adam are also supported by their Paralegal and Office Manager, Taylor Kaun. Taylor has been working with both Kevin and Adam since 2016. She is an integral part of the team helping Kevin, Adam, and their clients navigate the process and often providing valuable insight into the cases. Kevin, Adam, and Taylor all believe strongly in what they do and focus their efforts collectively to achieve their clients’ desired results.
